Position Summary  

A Business Analyst Team Lead at Mi-Case will take on a pivotal leadership role within our organization, overseeing a team of business analysts and driving the delivery of high-impact projects. This position requires a combination of advanced business analysis skills, team management expertise, and a strategic mindset to ensure that our business analysis function operates efficiently and contributes significantly to our organization's success.

This role oversees a team of analysts, guiding them in analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and documenting findings. This role involves mentoring team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and facilitating communication between business units and technical teams. Strong leadership skills and the ability to translate business needs into actionable plans are essential for success in this role

Responsibilities 

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of business analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and project success.
  • Demonstrate Functionality: Assist in demoing application functionality to clients and future clients.
  • Strategic Vision: Develop and implement a long-term business analysis strategy aligned with our organizational goals and industry best practices.\
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate team resources for projects, balancing workload, and expertise to optimize project outcomes.
  • Analysis and Documentation: Document complex business processes, requirements, wireframes, and specifications. Uncover opportunities for Improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of analysis and deliverables, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a point of contact for business analysis matters and advocating for the team's contributions.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and other department leads to ensure seamless project execution, including scope, timeline, and budget management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the business analysis function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Change Management: Assist in change management efforts by communicating changes, impacts, and benefits to stakeholders.
  • Escalation Handling: Address and resolve complex issues and escalations related to business analysis, using your expertise to resolve. 

 Educational/Training and Certification Requirements  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role, demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, tools, and documentation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business problems into clear and actionable requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to interact effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Experience utilizing software development design tools and processes such as Azure DevOps.
  • Project management knowledge and experience are advantageous.
  • Certification in business analysis preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience  

  • Ability to learn new domains and become an expert in the field.
  • Strong computer and internet skills including all MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must be efficient with strong attention to detail.
  • Skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge on agile software development methodology
  • Must be able to work across multiple projects, where necessary
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to control scope and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Advanced expertise in business analysis methodologies, tools, and documentation practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving successful project outcomes.

Environmental and/or Physical Factors  

  • The work environment and dress code tend to be informal, depending on the amount of client contact.  
  • Long periods in front of a computer terminal.  
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to walk and reach. 
  • Work hours are typically 8am to 5:00pm. However, working extended hours and weekends may at times be required to meet project deadlines. 

Job Types: Full-time, Exempt

Salary: $115,000-$135,000 per year
